I’m Looking

So it’s official. I’m in the process of buying a house. I’m a little upset with my mortgage guy right now. He’s all excited to get started but seems to be way too busy to actually start. I may have to got elsewhere to get my loan. I think that’s the scariest part because it’s the part I know the least about. All that interest rates stuff not to mention the insurance and taxes. I want all of that stuff all wrapped up in one payment. Later this week I hope to post my list of things about the house. Ya know things I want, things I don’t want, and things that wouldn’t be bad to have but I don’t want to pay more for. Ya know things like a pool. I’d love to have one but I won’t pay 1 cent more for the house cuz it’s got a pool. They are just too temperamental. Anyway… gotta run. Works calling….

Don't ya hate it when you take a fast ball to the forehead. Well I do. Brandt has this pitch he likes to through and I don't know how he does it or what he does but it's got a whole lotta rise in it. Well we were playing catch, in the dark of course, and I caught just the tip of my glove on this thing. I'm just lucky I got a tip on it, cuz it popped right up into my head. He's throwing pretty hard now so that tip I figured saved me at least two Tylenols. It didn't knock me out or anything but I was sure fuzzy for a while. Anyhoo... I need to go lay down for a bit. Like I have anything else to do now I'm kicked outta "There".

So today I couldn't take it anymore. I had to go buy a new baseball glove cuz Brandt throws to hard for that old piece of crap I had. It didn't fit right, it didn't have any padding, and it was hard to catch with. I got a new one that made a LOT of difference. He still throws pretty hard but at least now I have a chance to catch it.

Ok.. Now that I've fixed the problem I can tell you what the problem with the private journal was. Basically if you went to the search function and searched for... ummmm.. I don't know... maybe LISA! It would bring up all the entries with Lisa in them. That's all great and everything but it would also bring up all the entries with Lisa in them from all the other blogs hosted on my Linux box. This includes the private journal. What sucked was that the search function includes the first 40 words of any entry found. So you could read half the entry. I initially tried to fix this with .htaccess files. I found that you could also from a browser enter the archive directory and if you knew the file name could still get to any entry you'd like. With the .htaccess I was able to fix that problem but the search function works at a system level accessing the files as user apache rather than accessing it via the apache service. So since it wasn't going though the service the user was able to see these files and return results. Through some cgi work I was able to stop the search function from initially returning private entries but I found if after a search you pressed search a second time it would return a different set of results to include your private entries. Once again back into the ole VI editor and some cgi stuff and now all should be OK... if you want to try it out yourself do a search on "security". There is an entry in the private journal called "Security Test" with text of "This is a security test...." Lemme know if you can see it...

So I learned some interesting numbers today at work. I've only been there two weeks and I'm not very observant at times as most of you know, but today we had a meeting in the conference room with all the employees. We got in there and the owner is kind of long winded so I had some time to spare. With all the employees standing there looking at each other I counted 51 present and accounted for. That in itself isn't very impressive but the fact that only 18 of us were guys is pretty impressive. That's 65% women. Now Teri works with models all day so this next stat is for her.... 9 of the women could be considered extremely hot. Now that's not said to aggravate the women in my life but more likely to aggravate the guy back in the manufacturing biz where it's 90% men and 10% women that look like men. Well except for a certain saleswoman that was completely hot no matter what she thinks...Lisa... :P Other strange things happened today while I was at work. They let us out early today which was nice. I was leaving and it was pouring down rain with the sun shinning just has hard as it could... that's not the weird part. Then it stopped raining and started hailing! Hailing with the sun shinning. Only in Texas.

So I'm pretty sure my foot is broken. Two weeks ago today I stepped off the curb wrong and thought I twisted it. Well evidently that was not the case. The next day my ankle was much better but I had the big bad pain right I the middle of my foot. Although the swelling as just about all gone the pain is still there. Don’t get me wrong, it is getting better but just very slowly. And we all know how I like to complain anyway. So I guess for now I’ll just hop along like a little one footed monkey or something. :P

Private Journal/Blog/Weblog

So yesterday I recieved an email from someone that was wondering about the status of my private uncensored blog. This entry is an explaination of the happenings, status, and futrue of that blog.

For those of you who didn't know this is the semi-censored version of the real blog. Basicly this is the rated PG-11 (if you know what I mean) version. Before I kept this blog as well as another verison out there on a completely different system. The other version had everything this one does as well as all my other rantings and inner most thoughts. No real names were used on the other blog, mine, yours, or anybodys. I basicly used code words for everybody that often reoccured in the blog.

Unfortunatly on two seperate occasions someone who read that blog, regularly I expect, also stumbled across this version. Noticing that many entries were very simular and some were word for word exact they were nice enough to point this out on this blog's commenting system and give the URL of the uncensored version. Luckily enough for me I was able to remove those comments and restrict the commenting system until I could move the location of the "other" blog. Upon this happening a second time I decieded to move the blog to a location where i could secure it properly. This of course meant that the general public can no longer access the afore mentioned blog.

So as of now I have this journal/blog for the basic public which has most of everything that of any real importance anyway. I also have the private journal/blog which is a bit more secure for my other rantings and such. So the answer to your questions is yes, I could be writing about YOU right now on the other side. :P

Monkey Mobile

OK... So this morning I started designing the new and improved Monkey Mobile! I need some input. What color should I make this buggy? A light color makes it much easier to see the monkey in all his grandness, but a darker color has a much richer or fullness to it. If I do a dark color I'll have to put a splotch or sparkle of a lighter color behind the monkey to get the contrast needed to have a sharp clear image. I also thought about doing some lightening down the sides for added effect, but I'm thinking on opting for a waterfall of bananas instead. A few scattered bananas toward the front of the buggy growing to almost completely covered in bananas at the back. I think Black or Dark Blue with Yellow bananas and a sparkle of Yellow behind the Monkey would be nice. I'm shooting for having the buggy created and input in the next week. Another week to get it approved so that'll put me at about a 2 to 3 week roll out on the Super Totally Awesome Monkey Mobile..... Perfect Timing!
