Man, I must be PMS'in pretty bad this month. I haven't done ANYTHING for at least a week. I got the lawn mowed (boo) this weekend but that's about it. Anyway, I need to get back to doin nuthin'
Could someone please come help me mow the dang grass. It's not actually the mowing that gets me, it's the edging, the edging, the sweeping, the trimming and the flower beds. It doesn't help with it's almost 100 degrees outside. There are chemicals in the pool so I still have 2 hours before I can get in there. I think it's just best for me to sit on my ass for a bit more. I'm good at that.
Have you ever had goose bumps while you were sweating? Today I was at the gas station. It was like 1000 degrees and I was in my little monkey suit sweating up a storm. I all of a sudden thought I was having a flash back. Nothing unusual about that. I would have sworn that I hear a C5, with engines at idle. I also swore I heard landing gear extending (yes there is a difference between extending and retracting). I was thinking that I had completely lost my mind when all of a sudden I was consumed by this gigantic shadow. I looked up and there it was. 1500 foot or so, flaps at forty, gear down but still rotating, flying straight and level on base slowly feeding in throttle to compensate for the drag. I didn't hardly even have time to think about it, just sucking it all in. It had Travis tail flashing but I can overlook that. I watched it all the way until it turned on final for DFW. It was at that point I noticed the goose bumps. With it being dark green against a overcast sky you could see it for quite a while. I know I looked like a dork standing there at the gas pump with my mouth hanging open but it did take me back to a better time....
Crazy, but that's how it goes...
Millions of people, living as foes...
Maybe it's not to late...
To learn how to love...
and forget how to hate...
Who wrote the lyrics and how strange does it sound with someone with that kind of reputation writing something like that....
Just in case you were wondering, the water was a chilly 88 degrees for my late night swim tonight.... :P
Well today I turned the ole server back on for the first time since the move. Everything came up normally and is ready to go for the Friday internet turn up. I had planned on doing a complete web site make over while everything was down. Due to my work overload between the house, work, and everything else I serverly over estimated the amount of free time I have. So I haven't touched any of this stuff. Anyway, I got burgers and brots on the grill so I better get. They don't take long to cook.
So I finally closed on my house today. I had been pretty much fine most of the time up till this morning. Stressed but nothing bigger than that. Well this morning I woke up and my stomache was doing back flips. I thought after I settled that I'd be fine. I got to the title company and things got even worse. I now having the stomache issue as well as being light headed and dizzy (more than normal that is). I tried to hurry things along and once I got in there and started signing my life away I started to feel better all over. Now I'm just about fine. I feel a little weird but I think it's just some residual stress. I get the keys tonight and then it's just a matter of waiting for the movers on Monday. Most ppl already know that resistant to changes anyway, so all this stress and stuff probably comes to no surprize to these ppl. Anyway..... '''yay' for me!!!
T minus 1 day till close. That was a pretty big check I had to write to get the cashiers check. What's scary is that's the little one. Later in the month I get to write a big one to pay off the truck. Yikes!!
So this last week has been pretty much crap. "A lot" going on and the packing on top of that has made it pretty stressful. I really need a vacation. Not to go anyplace just to lay down and sleep. About two weeks would be just the right amount. I think part of it was I got used to slackin while I was unemployeed. I liked the slackin part wayyyy to much but I wasn't so crazy about the not getting paid part. Anyway, I'm really hopping that I'll be all packed by the end of the weekend and then I can just veg out for the last couple of days before close and the move. I doubt that would happen but it's a nice thought. I'll be pretty busy this next week anyway but If I've gotten all my house stuff taken care of I can concentrate on all the reast of the things I need to get taken care of. Anyway, enough of my bitchin, cuz lord knows I never bitch.
Steph, don't feel bad I have those same damn birds that pester the crap outta me at my apartment too. Do a search on "broom" to see my previous post on the little winged rats. I love most animals but not these little monsters of the bird world.
:(
Check it out... More dirt on Jeff's divorce to that witch of a wife/exwife he had. :) Go Jeff!
How bad does it have to be for your scalp to peel. I'm sure it's that sunburn from the other day, but these insurance guys have me about to pull my hair out, so that may be a contributing factor as well.
So I've signed checks this morning. It's not completely a done deal, but it's as close as you can be with out being closed. Let the stress continue!!!
I don't know what kind of IQ reqirements you have to have to work for earthlink tech support, But I'm pretty sure that a three toed sloth is over qualified. Today I spent almost 3 hours on the phone with them to attempt to fix a dailup account we have. Don't tell me to empty my freakin cache or delete my cookie any more than twice much less 5 times. I can't tell you how many "supervisors" I talked to. I'm thinking that who ever gets in the office first in the morning gets to set in the supervisors chair. Cuz they were morons just like the rest of them. If I ever worked at someplace like that and then tried to get another job in the computer biz, I'd rather claim I worked at McDonalds. I have much more resepct for the burger flipper at Mickey D's than the guy on the phone at earthlink. So anyway, after being on hold for a supervisor for over an hour, I called back and got right in. I ripped this guy a new ass and immediatly got his supervisor. Then I made him go find the @#%#in' phone that was ringing and answer it. At that point I talked to him and told him how much of BS these little nerds with flow charts were feeding me. 24 Hours to change a password is total crap. I told him so and also told him that if it took me 24 hours to change a flippin password I'd be outta a job. After I finally got in touch with someone that had the brains to click "Change Password". After we changed the password everything was fine. I told him that if I were a normal user, Id have just canceled them.
Today on the way back home I though of something that made me smile, ya know besides all the normal things. Since it's looking like I may be moving into a new house with in the month, I may have had the cops come pay me a visit for loud guitar for the last time. There always nice about it, and just ask me to turn it down but I don't want them coming to visit unless they bring beer or cake. Those are the rules. I pretty much use the guitar as a treatment for depression. Ya know, something about loud, distorted, fuzzy noise with lots of bass makes things seem just a little better. :P Anyway I'll let ya know on the house thing.
So as many of you may or may not know, I'm allergic to among other things sunscreen. Well today we had a family reunion so I was out in the sun all day. Needless to say I'm pretty crispy right about now. I'm trying to decide if I can afford to try and put some of that aloe gel crap on me. I don't think I'm allergic to that, but there not much telling and I don't really know if I want to take a chance on it. Anyhoo.... I need to get. Got inportant email to return. :P
So last night I put a bid on the house with the pool. So you know I didn't sleep at all last night. It's making for a pretty ruff morning. I'm hoping that I hear something one way or another today. That'll at least let me sleep. I have to drive to Mom and Dad's tonight. I'm leaving straight from work so hopefully I won't be driving too late. If for some crazy reason I do get this house, there will be a big 4th of July pool party at my house. 4th and pools have been very very good to me. :) Anyway, I'll get back to my active directory nightmare here and leave you alone!
